something is weird with my headphones

I'm using my Audiobahn Wireless headphones and when I turned it on, it picked up an FM radio station. So I turned it off, played something on WinAmp, and it's fixed. But still, it was weird.

Played majhong again. This time, I was playing with novices. Of course, that was until the 16 year old girl I was playing with asked her dad to replace her. Her dad is a master in mahjong so I was screwed. Thank God dinner was ready because my winnings were depleting by the minute. Ran away with another $8 in my pocket. Must develop superior ability to know who my opponent in their hand.

2005 started on a good note...

When you're 19 and you play mahjong against your elders, you tend to get very little respect. Fair enough. I'll just sit quietly and smoke them in their own game. I managed to get my $15 lost during poker back plus a few bucks for arcade money. It's such a beautiful game, why isn't it the official sport of Hong Kong (other than off-track betting).

2004 coming to the end

So it's 2005 tomorrow, so what. I guess it's not really that big of a deal when you celebrate it more than once. Chinese New Year, now that's a fun time. I'm gonna enjoy dinner and maybe some Mahjong later.

I'm getting, in my opinion, a good number of visitors on the blogger site. Not Powerline numbers, but it will do for now. I'll be spending the next year promoting the hell out of this site. As a result, this site will be limited to personal issues. But that doesn't stop anyone fom visiting both (or in your case, neither).

here's hoping my grade gets a little boost...

Beer pong didn't happen tonight. I guess something came between two of my friends and everything got called off. I'm not too disappointed. If it were over beer pong rules, then I would be pissed.

My mom told me that if I get a 3.5 GPA this semester, she'll buy me an iPod. Since I don't want one (useless unless you're a Mac or iTunes user), I'm gonna request something of equal value. Oh yes. Until I can decide whether I want a Radeon X800 or Logitech Z-5500, I need the 3.5. Now, I got part of my grades back. So far I got an A in MB (damn straight) and B's in Japanese (yea), Stat II (yea), and EnvSci (fuck!). I await my two PoliSci grades. Now, if I were smart, I would have found out my NJ Pol grade a long time ago. But because I decided to pass out instead of going to the last class, I must wait. If my Comparative Politics exam looked like the grade I got for my paper, I'm set. Two more A's and I get my 3.5 GPA, and a chance to see if my mom was bluffing or not.

These grades set the bar at around 3.0. So if I do my usual, I'm guarenteed a B. But if I exert a little more effort, I can get a B+ or even an A. Hopefully this formula works throughout the rest of my college career. Now I can relax a little bit.

oh boy...

I have a feelinh I'm gonna be heading down to Philly clubbing tonight. Last week a friend of mine posted this huge event on his AIM profile. Since we're all home, he'd probably ask my friends to go who then asks me. The reason I have this feeling now is because my friends tend to ask me an hour because they leave. Oh well, I really don't care what I do tonight, though it would be nice to check what's popular nowadays.

sleep is overrated...

Thanks to the cram section for Comparative Politics, my sleeping patterns have been reversed. Even though the bed is right next to me, I don't have the urge to sleep until sunrise.

In other news, due to declining popularity of xanga and need to get political, I'm gonna start concentrating on my Blogger site. This page will still be updated, but with very personal stuff. Hopefully, I can get the other site up and running by next year. Hopefully, I have time and energy to maintain two sites.
